APRIL 23 9th annual Spring Thaw at Emmet City Park Live music by the Cambell Family

ALSO May 8-9 Mothers Day Motorcycle Darag Races Prescott Raceway This is about 10 miles from Prescott on Highway 24. Almost to Bluff City.

Another thing is the May 14-16 rally in Perryville the same weekend as the Naturally Beemers Rally and only a few miles away

All this is in the April issue of Thunder Roads. Wonder where they came up with that name.

Well I am mostely crawling I think!
Missed you Saturday. I had to much work to do but I came any way so I am paying for it now. I have started building a laundry room on my house. Now for me that is a big job. I have forgotten some of my skills too. I just have to get it finished so I can get back to some other things I have not finished like fishing. I can never seem to get finished with fishing. Looking forward to some good riding in the weeks to come.

Just doing some looking and found this little url worth looking at.

I just picked up my new edition of Thunder Roads Magazine at the OLD 67 CYCLE SHOP in Emmet, Arkansas. Now Emmet is a small town 8 miles north of Hope and 8 miles south of Prescott. There a bunch of guys that like to ride. These guys liked motorcycles so much they opened their own shop just so they could be around them all the time. They are all friends of mine. One of them is a fireman at my station. They are all cruiser riders but just love it when I come into the shop because I ride a BMW. They are the dealers for the Voyager Trike Conversion http://67cycles.com/voyager.htm . Now this is a cool setup if you are verticality challenged or have some problem that keeps you from being able to ride a 2 wheel motorcycle. It adds an extra set of wheels making it a 4wheeler. The good part is it takes about 15 minutes to change it from 4 to 2 wheels. Go the url and look at it. Another thing I like is they have a spin balancer that will take the wheel up to 70 mph. I like that. During the super bowl thing they brought in a big screen tv and the cooker and we had a good party. The poker was fun the bar-B-Q was even better.
I did notice in Thunder Roads magazine a rally that starts on Thursday May 13 in Branson. Now I know our rally starts the next day but BMW is going to be there with demo rides. Sure is a shame they wont come on down to the river. The url for this rally is http://bransonmotorcyclerally.com/vendors.htm .

I got the fork seals on and the bike is back running again. Just found out that my cousin in Texarkana wrecked his bike and in the hospital. The good news is he will recover. He was riding a small bike with a new helment and I think it was too big for him. Some how it caused the wereck. At least he was not on the k1200

I got your call last night, but when I tried to call back you weren't answering. At least this time, my cell phone told me it was you! I'm gonna pack up the bike tonite so I can head out tomorrow afternoon just as soon as the Chancellor's Investiture is over. Let me know if you need me to go by the dealership to pick up the seals should they be unable to ride them over.

I just called the Little Rock BMW store and James answered the phone. I wasn't expecting the boss. Those guys make you feel right at home. I was needing some fork seals for my bike and they came through like old friends. They are even going to bring them to me at the club campout!

Oh why do I need seals. Well it seems that after that ride home from HillBilly I had this nasty stuff all around my forks. I had noticed the front end was not as stable as it should have been. Now the job of getting them and putting them on. Got to top the fork off now so I can ride it to the campout.

I saw the same HOG guys looking somewhat like drown rats. Funny how those cruisers with no faring suck up the moisture like a sponge! I'll send some pictures of the Hillbilly. I've got a few good ones. See ya this friday or saturday. I've got to go to the Investiture of the Chancellor at 2:00pm friday, so when that's over I'm gonna run home and put on my riding gear and try and put Little Rock in the rearview. It'll be dark city when I hit Oklahoma.

I ran into the rain at Delight. Just a light mist but by the time I made Prescott it was rain. I saw a lot of Hog riders with their crash sweats and crash rags on. I know they got cold in the rain. I made Prescott at 11:30 not bad for leaving at 7:30. Looking for some pics of the night.

Hey Eddie,
Did you hit any rain yesterday? I ran in a light intermitent drizzle for about forty miles. Not enough to get me wet so I never stopped to put on the rain gear. I'm glad I rolled out early though, as It got progressively worse throughout the afternoon.

WOW for some strange reason the link on the page that takes you to all the post is going to somewhere else. You now have to type it in manually. Ithe address is correct but something is really wrong. Maybe the grimilins are working behind the scenes.

I changed the joins us page to include an email addy.

Eddie,

James Wilbanks, the owner of BMW Motorcycles of Little Rock, is offering a club membership to everyone that buys a bike. You might consider sending the Blog connection to James and ask him to encourage new members to log on to Blog.
Then at the fall campout in three weeks, we can get people to sign up.
Went riding last weekend up in the mountains. It was beautiful weather, and the mountains weren't bad either!
